THERE IS NO WRONG IN THIS

Today MY STUDENT said to me "I DID IT WRONG HUH.!" I blurted out. "there's no WRONG in thIS... There's just bad FLOW, oR ugly form...." He smiled and liked that.

There's dancing off beat...
There's slowness and lack of clean and dynamic execution.

Making Mistakes is GREAT! and is how I've been able to figure out new moves or new transitions :)

on a bgirl competition, who did you have a hard time battling with?

against or with? I love battling with different people because you learn/gain alot from each battle and each partner you enter with. honestly i reallly had fun with every bgirl partner i've had. Some of the most memorable challenging Bgirl Battles: AbGirl (furious styles anniversary), The Floor angels at Qween B 2002 and 2003 & Chez/Abigirl/, Citrus and Define, Candy/jessfx & Jeskils/bonita (Renegades Anniv), , ShieChan/Narumi @ SheGotGame & in France Ground Control, Bean/Naj, @ BBoy summit 2006 with Jules vs dope bgirls like Abigirl,Candy.

How do you recover from an injury?

I am recovering right now from shoulder rotator cuff surgery. Physical therapy 2x a week with a pro. Ice after dancing 20min at a time. I take meloxicam anti inflammatory cuz its less harsh on stomach. I had knee surgery in 1995 acl reconstructive and orthoscopic to cut out the torn cartilage. I did tons of pt for that and to this day I ice it after dancing hard. I eat really healthy for my blood type and I don't eat things that will inflame athritis or joints. I try not to eat too much sugar. Advice: stay off it if it hurts because if its a minor tear it can heal. If u can't. Put weight on it or straighten it get an mri or a sports doc to check it for torn cartilage or ligament. It depends how bad your injury is! Good luck and hit me up if you have anymore ?s

when u break, do u write or memorize a set?

i have written drills exercises, moves that people have taught me in the past but I have not in a long time... My passion is really freestyling and not having to think and just Feel the music, not be technical, just dance / groove, I love going to a club the most and just dancing. Battling in a BREAKIN battle is different because you can't always just win now a days freestyling and not making a point. If you are repeating moves, steps, etc , judges see that. Keeping a track of what I've throw in previous rounds is important to me so I don't repeat.

I make it fun. and there are struggles to chosing a life of pursuing my dreams and goals of dancing and inspiring the youth.

There's not a day that goes by that I try to reach out to someone whether it be a friend, family, student, or acquantance through dancing...
at the IOWA State Fair with JAVONNI and Bgirl Maresco.

Touching someone's heart, and inspiring them to dance and put energies in their training means the world to me....
Thank you Javonni in DES MOINES IOWA, I hope you continue to find happiness in music and dance.
You are talented and passionate, and have a huge heart, along with your popping brother and mother who loves to support the true meaning of Hip Hop..
